Iceland 2026

$500.00$3,450.00

DESCRIPTION

Travel to the South Coast of Iceland with photographers Danny Howard & John Marcheschi. Both photographers bring years of experience and teaching to the fore as we look to capture “Fire & Ice” in the most amazing landscapes. The trip is being run jointly with Chicago Photography Classes.
Iceland is home to some of the planet’s most stunning scenery, with its surface made up entirely of volcanic rock, stunning glaciers, and tectonic plates, you can’t really go wrong when exploring here. We will also capture Icelandic horses, small local towns, and deal with challenging and changing weather conditions.
Our goal is to help you develop as a photographer, see landscapes and places not on many tourist routes and to meet and interact with local people from another culture.
Education is at the forefront of all our trips. We aim to teach and inspire you in the field as we take photographs and improve your photography for the long term. Putting the things you have learned into practice in the field and understanding why and when you use that knowledge and bring it to the forefront.
Flying into Keflavik, Iceland, we will head straight for the Golden Circle. Day 1 if arriving directly from Chicago can be quite long.
Taking in parts of the Golden Circle, and traveling along the South Coast of Iceland we will visit the towns of Selfoss, Vik, and Hofn. We will visit locations like the Pingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall, Skogafoss Waterfall, black sand beaches, sunrises and sunsets and so much more. We also hope to be able to capture the Aurora Borealis, Diamond Beach, the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, and tour an Ice Cave.
Please be aware the Iceland should be classed as rough countryside, and although we won’t be walking miles everyday, the weather conditions can change rapidly and make the days hard.
This trip is classed as “Combat Photography”.
More details can be found on the link below on the Chicago Photography Classes website. Please feel free to ask us any questions.
