Introduction to Architectural Series
An introduction into architectural composition guidelines to take your images to the next level
You do not need to be a current Chicago Photography Classes student to attend!
Join Angie for an introduction on how to create a series from architectural subjects. This class will focus on photographing one location per week – allowing you to utilize multiple compositional tools in each location and pushing you to see your subject thoroughly, moving past the obvious to create more unique images.
Each week will begin with a short classroom session where she’ll share various ways to approach the subject you’ll be photographing, covering composition and how to create a mini-series from each location. This will be followed up by a couple hours of on-location shooting where Angie will guide you through the assignment – sharing her process on location, reviewing your images, helping with the technical and helping you achieve your vision for the space.
Prior to the next session you’ll share your favorite image with Angie. She’ll then share those images in class giving feedback and answer any questions you may have. She’ll also edit some of her own images so you can learn some post-processing methods to enhance your images. This will be followed up by a new assignment and time shooting together.
The final week we’ll meet for a review of the course and you’ll be able to print a few of your favorite images from your time together.
