Legal Issues for Photographers
Join Adam Wolek, an intellectual propoerty attorney, for a discussion of legal issues photographers need to understand. After a short presentation, Adam will answer qustions about contracts, copyright and other issues photographers need to know in order to properly protect themselves and their businesses.
Adam has represented some of the world’s largest companies, including well-known cellphone, Internet, agriculture and manufacturing companies. Adam focuses on patent, copyright, trademark and business litigation and intellectual property licensing. He has litigated and negotiated numerous patent, copyright and trademark infringement, trade secret and business dispute cases, and has had scores of favorable outcomes for his clients.
Adam graduated with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he received a Juris Doctor, a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, and was awarded a Certificate of Distinction in Patent Strategies. He was an Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property, President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and Captain of the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court team at Kent. He was further awarded a Chicago IP Colloquium Fellowship, and a C.A. and C.C. Rebeiz Foundation for Basic Research scholarship. Prior to law, he received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
