Ready to take paws-itively amazing pet portraits? Join us for this playful and hands-on two-day workshop designed to help you capture the charm, chaos, and personality of our four-legged friends whether posed in the studio or flying across the sand.
We’ll start in the studio, where you’ll learn how to work with pet-friendly lighting setups, gear essentials, and pro tips for keeping your furry subjects focused (or at least pointed in the right direction!). We’ll also cover editing tricks to make those portraits pop. No studio or lighting experience needed, just a love of animals and a willingness to experiment.
Our second session takes place at Montrose Dog Beach, where you’ll put your new skills to the test in the real world by capturing action shots, candid moments, and the unfiltered joy of dogs being dogs. We’ll explore how to freeze movement, find the light, and work on-the-fly with unpredictable (but adorable) subjects.
Perfect for Dog Lovers, Photo Enthusiasts, and Anyone Who Can’t Resist a Wagging Tail
Come ready to shoot, laugh, chase a few tails, and leave with a portfolio full of heart.
Spots are limited – so grab your leash (and your camera) and join us!
Due to required permits at Montrose Beach, there will be no rainout or makeup dates, but an alternative outside pet focused session will take place.
Pet Models: If you’d like your dog to be considered as a model for Session 1, please reach out to Erica directly. All dog models must be friendly with both people and other pets, completely potty trained, able to follow basic commands like “sit” and “stay,” and be up to date on vaccinations (proof will be required prior to the session).
To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, dogs must also have a secure way to be contained—such as a crate—when not actively being photographed.
