Tame the Beast:

Introduction to Photoshop

This in an introductory 4-week class to Adobe Photoshop 2021 (or most updated version).

Students coming from Photo III and Ultimate Workflow with prior Photoshop knowledge, can certainly expect to learn new aspects of the program while straightening other known topics.

These are the topics we will cover:
– week 1: opening/saving files in Ps, interface, handling multiple files, transform tool.
– week 2: types of layers, adjustments, masks.
– week 3: healing tools, clone tool, selections, content-aware, selections & adjustments.
– week 4: blending modes, filters, dodge & burn tool, applying text, rasterize, flattening.

 

Instructor

Federica Ghidelli is the Associate Director at CPC. As an instructor, she enjoys teaching a variety of classes and workshops. Starting as a designer in Italy, she cultivated her passion for photography after moving to Chicago in 2013. Today she is an award winning fine art photographer, whose work has been exhibited internationally.
