7-Week Class

Monochrome isn’t about working with just one color—it’s about exploring the 256 subtle tones between pure black and pure white. Mastering this expressive medium requires both artistic vision and technical precision, which is why this course is led by two experienced instructors.

Jeffrey Gabriel Silva will guide you through the creative side of monochrome photography. Through thoughtfully designed shooting assignments and engaging discussions on influential photographers, Jeff will help you refine your personal style, strengthen composition, and understand how to tell compelling stories—without relying on color.

John Granata will lead the printing portion of the course. You’ll develop essential skills in Adobe Photoshop, learn how to prepare files for print, and gain hands-on experience printing on both matte and luster papers. By the end of the class, you’ll be certified to confidently operate CPC’s Epson printers.

If you’re comfortable processing your images in Lightroom, this class could be your next step. No prior Photoshop or printing experience is required.
