A deep dive into how to take better photos of family life. We’ll cover choosing your frame, prepping your space, considering your color palette, how to avoid a cranky subject, how to be an observer of light and how to make it look “natural.” Every week, you will be given an assignment aimed at teaching you how to conceptualize and execute beautiful, intimate photos of your family.

  • Intro & Deep Dive into Techniques – Prepping Your Space, Observing Window Light, Camera Work, Considering Color Palette, Creating Interactions / Everyday Life Assignment (Considering Window Light)
  • Everyday Life Assignment Critique / Self Portrait Assignment (Considering Your Frame)
  • Self Portrait Critique / Details Assignment:  Creating a Portrait Without a Person (Considering Color Palette)
  • Details Critique / Indoor Activity Assignment (Considering Space & Props)
  • Indoor Activity Critique / Outdoor Adventure Assignment (Interaction & Play)
  • Outdoor Adventure Critique / Conceptual Portrait Assignment
  • Full Collection Critique
