DESCRIPTION

The Power of Color

 

“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.”-Kandinsky

 

Color elicits emotions and feelings; yellow breeds happiness, blue has a calming effect, red symbolizes love. How we use color in our photography has an impact on our viewers. For this call, show us your interpretation of the power of color that elicits the spectrum of emotions and brings your images to life.

Deadline: December 1, 2021

Entry Fee: $25 for up to 3 images, $35 for 5 images (this fee will also cover the cost of printing and mounting for the selected images).

Jane Fulton Alt is an American photographer who explores universal issues of the human condition and the non-material world. She has authored two books, Look and Leave: Photographs and Stories of New Orleans’s Lower Ninth Ward and The Burn. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and can be found in many permanent collections.

Note:

  • Once you register on the website, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to submit your images.
  • Email of acceptance in the show will be sent out on December 15th. The artists will have until December 22nd to submit the high resolution files of the images.
