Join us to photograph Illumination, the magical holiday light display at Morton Arboretum. Illumination is a festive light and sound display that highlights the beauty of trees in winter and celebrates the holiday season. The woodland comes alive with sparkling colored lights, a grove to trees is painted with color and seems to grow and change before your eyes. Illumination is experienced over about a mile of walking path.
Our group has special early access and will be allowed to use tripods to capture this festive display. This experience includes:
– 1.5 hour pre-trip briefing covering the basics of how-to photograph at night and and ideas for composition and creative photos.
– 3.5 hour special access to the light display, allowing us to use tripods. Expect to cover the 1 mile path several times during the 3.5hr visit.
This excursion will start and end at Morton Arboretum.
The pre-trip briefing will be conducted over zoom.
Special thanks to community members Daryl Hartman and Junko Yokota for generously contributing the photos.
