Monochrome Exhibition Workshop

$150.00

DESCRIPTION

Your monochrome journey doesn’t end when class is over—it continues as your vision evolves.

Whether you’re refining a single image or building a cohesive body of work, the Monochrome Exhibition Workshop is designed to help you take the next step. This hands-on workshop provides personalized guidance from your instructors as you edit, sequence, print, mat, and prepare your photographs for exhibition.

Working alongside fellow Monochrome photographers, you’ll receive one-on-one feedback while learning the finishing techniques that transform great photographs into gallery-ready artwork.

During the workshop, you’ll receive guidance with:

  • Individual project critiques and artistic direction
  • Image editing and portfolio sequencing
  • Fine art print review and printing assistance
  • Professional matting techniques using two included 11×14 pre-cut mat kits
  • Basic framing demonstration and best practices
  • Preparing your work for exhibition and display
  • You WILL need to purchase a frame for the display. (approx. $10-15)

This workshop is open to all Monochrome I and Monochrome II students and is the perfect opportunity to continue developing your project while receiving personalized instruction.

Exhibition Opportunity

As an added benefit, participants will have the opportunity to submit their finished, framed monochrome photographs for exhibition in the Chicago Photography Classes Lobby Gallery, where the work will be displayed beginning September 13. It’s a wonderful chance to share your artistic vision with the Chicago Photography Classes community and celebrate the progression of your monochrome photography. Images must be completed by August 30th.
