One-Day Digital Photography Boot Camp

$225.00

DESCRIPTION

Are you looking to take better pictures?

We started teaching this Boot Camp about six years ago, as a courtesy for the people who just didn’t have the time for full seven-week classes, but still had a desire to at least get started. To ensure that everyone gets the most instruction the class is limited to 10 participants. If you do not have a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, we have several that we can loan out.

This is a workshop for people just starting out. Our motto: “The less you know, the better we like it.” We won’t have to un-learn you. In the morning, We will go over camera settings, help you understand “correct exposure”, the “how and why” of shutter speeds. The subtleties of aperture (f-stops) and Depth-of-Field (focus) will be explained. You will also learn to understand and use the “language” of photography.

Then we will go outside and spend about an hour and a half on a photowalk, so dress appropriately.  During the photowalk, you’ll put the lecture information to use with the help of the instructor.

Class Length: 4-5 hours with breaks
Class Options: In-Person
Provided Material: Full Handouts + Quick Reference Card
Classroom and Outdoor Activities

  1. This is a great class. I learned a lot of new things and left with a textbook that I can reread when I need a refresher. Both of the instructors for the class were very helpful, patient, and good at explaining a lot of new concepts in a very short period of time. I like that they keep this class small so everyone can get the personal attention they need. I hope to be taking another class soon.

    • Jim, it was great to have you and your daughter in the class. Hope to see both of you again soon!
