Workshop/Orientation on use of DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras

This energetic 90-Minute lecture is conducted at The Art Center of Highland Park (TAC HP), located at 1957 Sheridan Rd, Highland Park, IL 60035.  The class is designed to introduce people to proper exposure using their cameras. You will learn basic camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera’s exposure meter, and a discussion about which lens is the best value.

No camera? No worries! We have cameras to loan for this class. If you are thinking of purchasing a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, we will help you to understand what to look for so you can make an informed decision.

If you have a new Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) or Mirrorless camera, need a refresher or have never attended a photography class, you should attend this workshop. Or if you are thinking of purchasing a DSLR, Mirrorless or Film (SLR) camera, we will help you to understand what is important and what’s not important in cameras with interchangeable lenses. You will learn basic camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera’s exposure meter, and a discussion about which lens is the best value. No worries if you have a film camera because those cameras are covered too. Be sure to bring a camera, as well as your camera manual if you have one.
