Each Sunday: A 90-minute Workshop/Orientation on use of DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras
Basic Camera Overview/Class Orientation, DSLR & Mirrorless Camera Operation, and the Principles of Correct Exposure
This energetic lecture is often imitated but never equaled. This weekly 90-minute workshop is designed to introduce people to proper exposure using their cameras. We include Photographic Thinking in all of our programs; the only accent here is on learning. No camera? No worries! We have cameras to loan for this class (In-Person only). The class also includes a discussion of what to look for when you do buy a camera, so you can make an informed decision. If you have a new Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) or Mirrorless camera, need a refresher or have never attended a photography class, you should attend this workshop. Or if you are thinking of purchasing a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, we will help you to understand what is important and what’s not important in cameras with interchangeable lenses. You will learn basic camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera’s exposure meter, and a discussion about which lens is the best value. No worries if you have a film camera because those cameras are covered too. Be sure to bring a camera, as well as your camera manual if you have one.
