We’re looking for images that turn the unnoticed into the unforgettable—whether it’s the delicate textures of an insect’s wing, the mesmerizing patterns of a water droplet, or the fine details of everyday objects brought into stunning focus.

Ethan Beckler – Macro Photographer & Visual Artist
Known to his growing social media audience as 1of1images, Ethan Beckler has mastered the art of capturing the extraordinary in the everyday. With a career rooted in exploration and innovation, Ethan’s passion for macro photography began in the late 2000s, when he started experimenting with an Olloclip macro lens attached to his iPhone. What started as a curiosity grew into a fine craft as Ethan advanced through various equipment, from a reversed Helios lens on a Sony camera to exclusively using OM System (previously Olympus) gear, often paired with extension tubes or Raynox macro filters to achieve precision and depth.
Ethan’s creative techniques, including focus stacking and bracketing modes, have propelled his work to remarkable levels of detail and clarity. His love for macro photography began with photographing snowflakes—tiny, fleeting marvels that demanded his meticulous approach and artistic eye. Over time, his focus expanded, and today, his primary subject is the mesmerizing complexity of grains of sand. Alongside this, Ethan continues to highlight the intricate beauty of bugs, insects, and the occasional charismatic jumping spider.
With an ability to transform microscopic scenes into vivid works of art, Ethan Beckler is not just a macro photographer but a storyteller, uncovering the hidden beauty of the natural world one extraordinary shot at a time.
