Lighting 101 Intensive Program
DESCRIPTION
In this class, you will learn to use light and how to control it in single light setups. You will use flash, constant, natural, and strobes. By the end of this class, you will be able to understand and use your flash to achieve the basic 6 types of light and bring together a basic lighting concept.
Required Materials

- Flash
- Umbrella softbox
- 2 in 1 umbrella
- Set of triggers
- Light Stand
- Flash Bracket
Optional Material

- 32in or 43in Reflector 5 in 1 reflector
- Gels: Color correction and creative colors.
Class Length: 5-day Intensive Program
Class Option: In-Person

Angel Nieves
Angel is a Chicago native wedding photographer. He started photography in 2009, during his freshman year in college. From there he did night life and portraits. In 2014 he met his mentor who introduced him to wedding and event photography. Angel has now been doing portraits and weddings for 7 years.

Do yourself a favor and take this class. If you are intimidated by using lighting or photographing people, this class will reassure you that you can do it and do it well. Angel is a very competent Photographer and his approach is relaxed and reassuring without pressure. I felt I couldn’t do this at times but Angel saved me from becoming a Lighting School dropout! You will learn so much, just do it! Can’t wait for his next class.
